Rolex age demographic (poll)

I want to post a poll to see where Rolex hype sits with each age demographic. Perhaps this will help give an idea when the Rolex madness will fizzle out, if ever. Feel free to add a pic of your latest (or favorite) acquisition and include the date purchased

23 for me. I’d post a picture but I’m having trouble uploading. OP36 w/ white dial that I picked up in September while visiting an AD out of town. Probably my only incoming for the next few years

It's weird being the same age as old people.

53 , Might be worth doing a Poll on the age you were the last time you walked into a Rolex AD ,& purchased the watch of your choice with no Waiting list

30-45 age range looks to be the sweet spot. Great news for the brand - as if they didn't already know.

Latest purchase was WG Daytona (steel panda dial) OF 116519 12/12/19 at AD.

I’m mainly a Rolex SS professional line type of guy (see username). Love DSSD, SD, SubLV, GMT, ExpII and Daytona lines.

30-45 is going to win by a mile especially these days.

1) You are young enough to be caught up in the online, instagram hype flex culture.

2) You are probably enough into your career that a $10k-$15k watch is doable and some to be able to afford much more by this age.

I'm 35. Only wear full PM models. YG DD40s, RG SkyD, 116618LB.

You should consider that this survey will address only the members of the forum, indeed the current poll shows only 2.8% of those in the category +65, that to me does not reflect the reality.
Anyway tomorrow I will be 54 and my last purchase, done one week ago, is this gorgeous 126613LB.

38.

I think I will always have a fondness for Rolex but I think that fondness dwindles each year and it will grow for other brands. That’s regardless of shortage/supply.

Got my first one when I was 19 as a gift from my dad. (SS-DJ41)

Got my second one at 20 because you can never go wrong with a Sub

Got my third one at 21 because it was the last chance I’d ever get to buy a white dial TT-DJ36 w/ romans on a jubilee that has a hidden clasp(my favorite configuration of the DJ)

Im like 2weeks away from turning 22 and probably won’t buy another until I get my PhD (doing a masters now). I realized that I’m probably better off investing my money in stonks as opposed to buying another watch.

I’ve never bought into the hype, and I’m never selling any if them because I’d like to pass them on someday. Even if I end up living in a cardboard box under a bridge somewhere down the line, I would totally be giving off massive big d!ck energy if I were wear all 3 of them while fighting hordes of raccoons off for a half eaten subway sandwich.

Cheers

I got my first Rolex this last August. Turned 36. 114060. The watch I’ve always found to be the quintessential timepiece.
