Daydate 40 YG dial color.

Is champagne the most popular color? I personally like the silver dial but they don’t make them with the baguette markers. Black is cool but I have so many black dials.

Thinking of getting a champagne dial but I don’t want it to look too dated.

It will not look dated if you get a new one. 40mm here and I LOVE it!

i don't think there's a most popular for the 40, there are just too many great options. personally think the black baguette dial is the best with silver romans and champagne baguettes after that

I went with white Roman on my DD40. The style of the Roman numerals aren’t found on any other Rolex watch. Felt they just pop on the white dial.

Lovely. Do you have more pics? Does the dial change a lot with the light? From light to dark? Just wondering if it’s too monochromatic? I want the Baguettes to pop if I’m paying that much more for them.

The dial does respond to light nicely and the Baguettes do pop as they are cut for the light to bounce off.

I tried to get some different lighting... I hope this helps.

Yeah that’s one of my favorites for sure. It’s stunning. I prefer it over the romans

Well, give champagne a go if that has been the dream. If you feel its dated after some time, then you can luckily get it changed ... at a cost

Yellow Gold with white dial & gold Roman Numerals on my Day Date 36. No diamonds, I love the classic gold on gold

Can’t go wrong with either of these DD configurations IMO. I think a PM piece will complement your collection nicely

Sure would be nice to be able to try on all the YG dials and pick one. We're so far from those days.

If you're after the baguettes, then I think the black is hands down the best looking.

Trust me when I say that dial will not look remotely like anything else you've got.

EDIT: I see you got the champagne, and it looks stunning. Really kinda underscores the point you just can't go wrong with a DD40.

Daydate 40 with baguettes is the way to go.
They look just a bit more symmetrical than the others and are thus more pleasing to the eye

That dial was my 2nd choice...I bought a yellow gold day date last week & went with the white dial & gold Roman numerals.

Per my AD:
1) champagne
2) black
3) white
4) silver

Personally, I'm torn between champagne and silver. I'm leaning towards champagne because it's timeless and so damn iconic
