Got my first Rolex today!
Hello all. One of my goals for my collection has been to get a set of Daytonas.
I was focused on them and still will make a play for them in the future. As I was at my local jeweler, who used to be a Rolex AD, but it was pulled from them last year (as has been happening everywhere). I had gone in to pick up a ring, and passed by the showcase and noticed they had a pre-owned DJ 41 black dial in there. It had a fluted bezel and I had always assumed that was too flashy a watch for me. I tried it on just because it was there. And boom! I liked it waaaaaaay more than I thought I would. Knowing that DJ 36 were more easily obtained, but the 41s were tougher, I researched and found out the specs on everything. 2016 DateJust II 41mm Ref# 116334 Black Dial White gold fluted bezel SS case & oyster bracelet Found out the 16 & 17 model years had the 30 at the 6 o’clock. And the 2018s on had the crown there. Returned today and worked out a fair deal for both sides, and took delivery of my very first Rolex! Not only did it have full box and papers from the first owner, but it had the outer box, extra bracelet link, and warranty card too. Enjoy the unboxing pics. I know I’ll enjoy the watch. And I’m now on the hunt for the Daytonas I want. And my future watches hopefully… Ref#116509 full White Gold/white gold oyster bracelet Panda Racing Dial Ref#116519 White gold/black alligator strap/white gold clasp Grey Racing Dial |

Thanks all. I’m excited!
The owner had a Starbucks Sub on and he let me try it on to get a feel for the Subs today also. Super people. I hate they lost their AD status. |

Seeing your documented photographed in order made it feel like a personal unboxing journey. I got excited towards the end of scrolling, though I'm sure not as excited as you were. Congrats!

Congrats !
Be careful, from your post it sounds like DJ 41 and DJ II are the same watch, which is not the case. Hope there is no confusion for you ! |
