Icon20 Who loves this?? Come on be honest...

Going on Chrono24 and looking at 'My Watch Collection' to see how much money you have (supposedly) made on your Rolex collection.

Mine says I have a profit of $181,781.

Do you get a kick out of doing this? If so, please share your Chrono24 profit and we can all have a little fun.

I do, but don't feel throwing the number out would be appropriate. It blows my mind how my collection has evolved and the ever increasing values of my time pieces. Lets just say, I started buying PM at the right time.

Chrono is the worse way to know how much your watch worth. Its always inflated.

Chrono 24 is an unrealistic source. Not even close.

Not really if you add up the bottom end prices across the board. Some are overvalued while others with a specifically rare dial for example are undervalued.

In regards to the question, I put my watches in there, just so to keep track of what I’ve got really. But yes the number is ever increasing Tens of thousands at a time sometimes.

You cant count on those low prices on what you see because it can be sitting there for weeks or months and is already sold by the dealer elsewhere. Rolex prices go up or down anytime so you might see a low price which was posted many weeks or months and might not been updated by the dealer

Well you can try your luck at haggling with any dealer for a few £££ off and it will literally be that. A few hundred off asking price if you’re lucky. I’m actually dating a lady who is a manager of a large grey dealer at the moment, all these watches are selling for what they’re being listed for.

Well, my collection is up 201%. All watches purchased with MSRP. The stock market is keep going down this year. I noticed for my watches the prices are not inflated, it's rather little deflated.

I was already making fun of this thread when I went to Chrono24 to check it out.

As ridiculous as the pricing can be there, if my collection were gone, it's not that far from accurate what it would cost to replace in the condition they all are in..with box and papers, bro!

Deflated in terms of buying or selling?

I don’t pay attention to it. I don’t treat watches as investments. I buy what I want, when I want, and sell when I don’t want it any longer.

$181,781 in speculative money? Wow, that’s really neat and definitely worth your time!

Since we’re just making sh*t up, I guess the profit of my 5 watch collection is $7,000,719,000! Because why not.

The only time I think about what my watches are worth is when I am contemplating using them to buy an even more expensive piece. My Daytona is up to the price of a Patek annual calendar. If it ever reaches the price of a Patek perpetual calendar it's gone.

It's been hard not to take a look at the prices recently but realistically the prices on there are dealer prices , Joe Public would be lucky if they only took a 20% hit on the estimations

It looks nice on a screen but until you actually sell the $ value given is totally irrelevant.

This. It’s only a profit if you sell.

As for the C24 feature - pigeons flock to baited fields. It’s dressed with ticker-tape for a reason.
