Vintage 1970-80s datejust acrylic crystal
Lately I think these 16014 or 1601 steel acrylic crystal are better looking than the newer version - vintage cool looking that the newer ones just do not have.
I think these vintage ones are very well built as well. The newer Datejust just has too much bing- |

There’s some charm and warmth to acrylic. Also less stress of scratching because you can polish it out and replace them easily.
Datejust in the past could be solid yellow gold so I wouldn’t say the new ones are too blingy. Look at a 36mm oyster bracelet smooth bezel with a classic dial like silver, blue, black, rhodium. Classy and no bling.

I chose a Tudor 79090 because of the acrylic. It looks so good!
