Pepsi on a Leather Strap
I know I am courting controversy with this one, but what the heck
It fits comfortably and makes for a nice refreshing change. I picked up this strap back in February when in Italy when I met a friend wearing his vintage GMT Master with a similar strap, using the ss buckle in a deployant fashion. What do you guys think?... And sorry about the pic, but it was taken on my Sony Ericsson C902 phone. Supposed to be 5MP with macro, but phoooey. |

Naaah! sorry, but first impression was.
Hey maybe a brighter picture will do the combo justice.

It definitely changes the look around. I like it and what's more important, you like it.

I like it. I'm currently trying to find a Hirsch Leonardo in that same combination. Jocke has one he showed in a thread recently and it looks great.

NATO strap would look better IMO.

I agree, a brighter picture would be better. Will see what I can do tomorrow morning.
NATO doesn't come in that combo far as I remember., but it really is more fetching in real life. Will use my regular camera in the morning and post again. Thanks Ron and Michael for your kind words! Buz, I got this one custom made for me, with a plain steel buckle. Will take more shots of the combo. |

Since you asked.....it doesn't do a thing for me.
But the only opinion that should carry any weight is your own.

I haven't worn this watch since February and when I got it out yesterday, I was completely smitten once again.
Appreciate everyone's comments, and I really just wanted to share how I enjoy my watches. Next I'm gonna put MrsJedi's Coke GMTII on a black leather/red stitch strap just to see how it looks |

Lee I like it...I think it makes the watch a little lighter and more 'summery' (is that a word?)
It reminds me of some of the root beers I've seen on vintage brown leather...absolutely stunning! Nice work J |

I like the way the red stitching picks up the red 24 hr hand

Try that
on a Pepsi. The blue and red combo may compliment better with the color scheme of your strap

Not a huge fan of that look, especially with the gap.

Could work, but the red stitching puts it over the edge for me!

But John, you see, the blue leather goes with the blue part of the bezel, and the red stitching highlights the red portion of the bezel. If it were the other way around, the red would over power the whole combo...
