Trade gmt for snoopy

Hi folk's

Just wanting your opinion/views on a possible trade.

I have a rolex gmt 126710blnr jubilee and have been offered the omega speedmaster snoopy 50th anniversary, for the gmt plus £2,300 the other
way.

Would you consider this a fair trade and should I pull the trigger.

Many thanks

Which snoopy? 45th, 50th or the original?

It’s just about fair enough value wise. Over time, I suspect the snoop will be worth a little more.

For me, I likely wouldn’t. I had a snoopy and sold it as I couldn’t read it half the time (blue hands on blue subdials). It’s a great looking watch though, although the strap is crap for a 9 grand watch and a bracelet is a necessity.

Do you want a gmt or a chrono?

Sorry but I’d never do that trade. I enjoy Omega as well as Rolex but I’d pass on that one.

The BLNR at present is simply harder to get...value wise, this may be fair and in the long run, the Snoopy will be more rare, but the demand for the Snoopy will also always be lower. THat said...the 126710s use the 32xx movement which has been known to be very glitchy.

If you don't love the GMT but love the Snoopy, this trade is worthwhile. Otherwise I'd pass.

I, personally, don't like the look of the Snoopy. Never have and never will. The GMT is IMO the much more versatile piece. YMMV.

Your have a fair option to decide on. I'd focus less on all the "investment" and "rare" stuff and just ask yourself, which one do YOU like more. You can't go wrong with either. I agree with the comment about the Snoopy really needing a bracelet. The Omega 3861 bracelet is around $800 last time I looked. Let us know what you chose and good luck.

Do it! I actually did just that.
BLNRs are easily obtained Grey.
Snoopy is just the “better” of the two.
Good
Luck

I agree with Saoires32 about the availability of BLNR's, you'd never having a problem sourcing one on the grey market. But having a BLNR, and dying for a Snoopy, I don't think I'd do the trade.

I just can't release the BLNR quite yet.

Batman is one of the easiest Rolex watches to get. Snoopy is very hard. Not sure the money exchanging hands is fair, but I would consider it, depending on the condition of your Batman. Really depends on what you like more though - I think you'd always be able to trade back to the Batman. I just recently sold mine and picked up a nice Moser + some cash.

This is a tough one, whatever makes you the happiest is the right thing to do. Sometimes it's best to be content with what you have until there's absolutely no doubt about selling or trading. I'm hoping you're able to decide soon which one you want the most and enjoy it to the fullest!
