How to store Rolex watch each night

what is the best way (that doesn't damage watch) to keep Rolex when asleep? i only have 2 watches so don't need a huge watch box.

would an item like this be safe for an Explorer 1 and omega deville?

apparently made in Japan

Stuff it in a sock and toss it, gently, under the bed...….

Rolex is not supposed to be stored, it’s born to be perpetually worn

. . .
On a serious note, that is a great idea for watch storage for the night, or longer.

Great craft project for a DIYer too. I like it.

out of curiosity - why are you putting dirty socks on your wash-line? i put dirty socks in the laundry basket, and clean socks on the clothes-line - call me old fashioned.

The watches I'm not wearing are in a box. The watch I wear today will spend tonight on a night stand.

Yeah you probably are but that has nothing to do with finding humor in something. After spending time researching cases (some very expensive) I found this post very funny and refreshing. I’m not saying it’s a good or bad idea just caught me off guard. Not to mention the scotch and sativa I was enjoying at the time.

Have a good day sir!

Old thread, but my two cents:

I store mine is a small watch box (that came inside a jewelry box) and will vary the position according to the regulations needed, ie: speed it up or slow it down.
For me, dial down speeds it up, dial up will let it run at it's normal pace of -.25 - minus .50 sec per day.

With this positional regulation I am at Zero overall.

If it's not on my wrist then it's in the safe.

I tend to wear one watch for a few days before changing to something else. I usually have one watch on an inexpensive watch winder. The other goes on my nightstand next to my bed. Face up, resting on a polishing cloth.

I lay mine down with the dial up. Put a piece of leather between the caseback and the bracelet so that the caseback isn’t scratched by the bracelet.

I have a watch box that holds my Tudor Submariner, Pulsar Tank Watch and Casio Illuminator each night. They are there waiting on me each morning. Lol.

What I don’t wear is in a box. What I wear lays on top of a soft pouch, in the kitchen.

Wow... you guys seem to be very careful with your watches.

I just toss the watch I am wearing on a sideboard. I don’t worry about scratches on the back of the watch and doubt the wood will do any harm to the bracelet/ clasp.

Everything else is in a box.
