Ferret in Cannes France-Boutique experience

Hi All,

I will be in Cannes France and plan on visiting this boutique.

Has anyone had experiences here and if so please share how it went?

Any suggested sales associates or boutige management names?

Any/All feedback is appreciated.

The other Rolex boutique a few blocks away on La Croisette has better service and more models to view. I was offered a few steel watches at that boutique last week and grabbed a Explorer II with white dials. Both boutiques are actually owed by the same owner.

Sorry mixed up the boutiques. The boutique your interested in is the better one in my opinion. Estrella was great to deal with there.

Don’t know Ferret Cannes. But what kind of models are you looking for. If you have time, you can go to Nice, Monaco, and Sanremo Italie for more dealers, new and second hand.

I’m over in the Cote D’Azur most summers. I’ve been underwhelmed by Ferret of Cannes over the years. The selection available (mostly exhibition only, mind) in both Nice (Place Massena) and the Cap 3000 Mall (near NCE airport) is far better. This past summer both those I mentioned had a very impressive assortment and the Nice Boutique even had a nocturnal VIP event. I was offered some PM pieces that were tempting but they oblige the Global Blue tax refund scam (read my post on that this summer) so I always decline due to that. Check my past posts since I reported extensively on most of the Cote D’Azur AD’s between Saint Tropez and Monaco over the years.

I read your post about the Global Blue VAT refund scam, and I’m frankly not surprised by anything that happens in the South of France. Anyway, I’m in Europe quite a bit and have been hitting AD’s in various countries. One just to see what they have. Also on the theory, that heck you just never know if they will sell you something.

You said you don’t know about this happening up North in France, like Paris. Do you have any idea, if this scam just related to France or have you heard about it in any other countries over there? The VAT and other issues make buying over there, problematic it seems.
