Will a 16610 crystal fit on a 16600 sea dweller?
Just picked up a 16600 and I'm not a fan of how tall the crystal is. I know its a thicker crystal for deeper dives, but I'd like a thinner crystal for everyday wear.
They are both 40mm, so will a 16610 crystal work? Thanks |

Not according to my size chart.
The 16600 is smaller by about 0.5mm

Yep - Eddie is correct. 16600 crystal is indeed thicker

Can't say for certain. Despite the fact that the crystal itself is thicker, you can install a thinner gasket for a "stouter" look. The SD gasket is also thicker than that on the 16610, I believe. As long as the hands clear, and assuming the diameters are the same, you'd be good with a 16610 gasket.

I was referring to the diameters not being the same.
If the diameters were the same the crystal thickness would not be an issue.

As the crystals are a different size diameter, using a different O-ring gasket is not advisable. Definitely unwise in the case of actual diving at depth.
It just takes a bit of water in the wrong place. |
