NWA- first Patek

Have slowly been moving away from Rolex etc and towards more haute horology brands (I still have a few stainless steel sports Rolex to bash about!).

I started wearing more dressy watches and got a Lange 1, which I haven’t been able to stop wearing. That made me want a Patek, and naturally a perpetual calendar is what I wanted!

I went for this 5940r, with the interesting case shape, lovely breguet numerals and perfect balance on the subdials.
Traded my full gold zenith Daytona (no box and papers) + £5k for it, which I think is a great deal.

Feels like a perfect pair with my Lange 1.

Fantastic pickup and great duo! That looks great on your wrist you won't miss that daytona for a second big time upgrade in my opinion.

What a duo. Add a stainless sub and you'd never need anything else...

Reminds me of the Hodinkee 2 watch collection 3940 and the 1815 chrono.
You have great taste!

The 5940 is awesome. I’ve almost bought one at least a dozen times. One of these days, I probably will.

Congrats it’s a great watch! Truly one of the best looking Patek in my opinion of all the ones I have owned over the years.
