Broken Tudor :(.

Hi guys,

So my little sisters Tudor has stopped working 😞. The date can still be changed when the crown is out but nothing else, it doesn't tick, hands don't wind? I understand this is limited information but any ideas?

I can put pics up if you like, I have the back off if that helps.

Hands don't move via the crown but you can set the date?

Very strange.

Needs to be looked at by a pro. It will be a full tear down of the movement but parts are cheap and people who can service Eta movements are all around.

Good luck!

I spoke to my AD today, they think it just needs a service. Off it goes for 4-6 weeks. Yeah when you pull it out to the first click it doesn't move the hands, then the second click out only changes the date, gonna send my DJ off for service at the same time, it deserves one haha.

Most likely could have been fixed without having a full service. I could have taken a look eta movements are easy to get parts for.

It is in need of o service to be fair, not as much as my DJ, I wear it everyday and the strap is stretched so much. Need to find somebody who can do my strap to be fair.

"Strap" as in leather or do you mean the bracelet? Is it SS or 2 tone or gold? Either way, Michael Young in HK is likely your guy to repair a bracelet. Search his name here and Google for his website.

1st click is winding isn't it? Then 2nd is date, 3rd hands. This can be tricky because that 3rd click can sometimes be tricky and hard to pull out.

I wonder if this is really just a servicing in need or some small part/wheel on the inside that rotates the stem might have become damaged....
