YG Bluesy or TT bluesy .. whadda say

116618 or 116613
It’s a turning point for me.
Trade this in and get the YG or stay with the TT

Thiughts ? Advantages vs disadvantages ? As if there is one lol

Is it just me, or is the Bluesy getting really popular these days?

Go TT Bluesy. $35,000-$40,000 is a lot to spend on a watch with scratched PCLs. Go YG GMT II on jubilee for PM.

Stay with the 116613. It’s a real classy Subc.

Advantage, you already own it.

I prefer the TT over full YG in this case. If it was the black dial, I’d feel the opposite.

Personally I think the TT pops more. If you want to go full YG maybe add something different. A sub is a watch to be worn and the TT offering isn't scary to wear hard.

I am not a fan of full PM for a sports watch. For a full PM, try a DD. Otherwise, stick with the TT sub. A great watch to look at and wear.

I’m in love with my 16613LB. However, my next and the one I’m yearning for is the 16618LB.

I’d say 16618LB if it’s already on your radar.

I completely agree.

Full PM DD with that delicious presidential bracelet is the way to go. Keep your professional models full steel, two tone, or PM on Oysterflex.

i think i saw 15 bluesys in the span of 3 days in vegas last year, it's always been the go to "flashy" rolex since it's relatively affordable

Different wearing experience.

I own the TT Sub and love the fact it's rugged like the SS Sub, with the added bonus of being more interesting to look at, to me at least. With a YG Sub, I would tend to worry about it and pamper it. I'd feel like it's less of a daily, more of a weekend / special occasion watch. That's how I feel about my PM VC dress piece. Also, full gold makes you more of a target. Losing 40k is not like losing 18k. Then of course, bear in mind it's significantly heavier, so you've got to be prepared, do you like the extra weight or does it bother you.

But this is me. If you feel comfortable upgrading, go for it. It's a beautiful piece and a heavy hitter for sure. It's spectacular.

TL; DR: I'm happy with my TT Sub and don't feel like upgrading to full PM.

I have a 11661LB Bluesy and it is one of my favorite watches. Recently I traded off a 126618LB. That 618 is such a killer statement piece. I wore my 618 just about everyday, only when I got home from work. The statement that watch makes doesn’t really line up with my personal lifestyle.

19 yes, 13 yes, 18 no. It's about what suits the individual. Full WG, full RG and TT RG just don't suit me. You do you.

Just clarified because in your original post you stated RG.

I had the TT for a few years, then traded it in towards a WG Daytona (which I love). The Bluesy bug remains, though, and the full YG is going to be my next major purchase. To each their own.

Personally I think the contrast between the brushed stainless and polished gold center links along with the blue dial, blue bezel and gold coin edge bezel makes the TT 116613LB one of the coolest Rolex watches of all time!!

Stick w the 2 tone, especially if it’s the earlier Smurf dial.

Fully agree with the LB’s.

With the LN’s, I feel the full YG is the way to go.

Wonderful comments !!
Gosh I can remember only maybe a year ago that the TT didn’t get much love and the YG was the talk of the town lol

But yes I agree with everyone .. that TT does pop .:
For some reason it’s “heavy “ on the wrist lmao but that is so first world problems …

Yes I think I shall keep the TT for awhile .. so much memories
I took it to Key west years ago and other places and it always performed admirable

Yes that has been the case for the last decade really, but must say even I am liking the TTs much more and might swap my YG for the TT as it is just more visually interesting as well as more practical to wear all day, esp in summer.

Great watches and a person preference buffed by cost. I have owned them all and prefer the SS first, then YG and then TT.
