I found this Rolex in our basement

Good day,

We found this Rolex in our basement and would like to know if it is a real or Fugazi watch.

I know that the watch can be as old as 20 years old.

The watch still works and has never been worn.

The reference is 69623.

Could someone please help me?

I need better pictures to say anything definite.

In any case, there was a ladies yacht-master with reference 69623 back in the day, but it was two-tone. There was also an all steel version. The watch in the pictures kind of looks like one, but it's hard to tell.

This is what they look like:

Agree 100% Your initial posts do not look good as far as authenticity is concerned.

The most pronounced clues when determining authenticity of late model watches via crappy pics is usually snapshots of the back of the watch. The head links usually give them away. In this particular case it's manifestly obvious.

I think it’s a very close call. Just need a bit sharper pix to determine for sure. I’m leaning authentic. A tad more focus.

OP hasn't bothered checking in since the day he first posted, but yes, those endlinks are surely proof enough that the watch is junk.

Ok Newish Guy here. What's the issue with the "found in basement" posts. Are people bagging on the watch or the poster. It feels like and "first posts" with a basement/back of drawer find are suspect more than the watch. Or am I misreading this?
