Blue Rolex Lume

Today we took my daughter to a farm that specialized in Hallowe'en, with scarey barns, a scarey hay ride, country maze's, etc. Anyways, while waiting in this barn for the hay ride, the walls were painted black with ghosts and goblins painted on the walls and illuminated via black light.

Much to my amazement, the lume on my ExpII was glowing a bright blue! I actually think it looks better and is more readable than the green it glows under normal circumstances. Kinda reminded me of the dashboard lights in my Passat.

It was pretty cool. I wish the lume really did turn that colour, kinda a bluish-purple. Very nice.

As for scaring... the hayride scared the crap outta her, unfortunately. There were people jumping out of the woods in costume, loud noises, a guy running after us with a running chainsaw and a 'jason' mask. Had I known this, I would have passed. My wife had been on it before and insisted. Um... good call, honey. She otherwise had a great time, though.

I was gonna try this tonight, but my black light lamps are all buried behind my lava lamps in the attic.

JJ, are you colour blind? I said bluish-purple... not GREEN. Like the colour of my avatar, for example.

Yes Johnny...

Ultra-violet light does that to my SD as well. I took my son to a Soccer Breakup a couple of months ago at a fantasy adventure place called laser force. The UV light had the same affect on the Luminova, Very nice tint of purple-blue. Very easy to read too

Pete, since you know the tonality of the shade, wouldn't you prefer that over the green it glows under normal circumstances?

You need your eyes checked, mate. There's more red than there is blue in that picture.

Hey Johnny I know what you mean since I had a Passat a few years ago. And I have experienced this shade also, albeit was at a strip joint. Now you may ask why I would be looking at my watch instead of the ladies, but they announced they were closing and Iwas just checking to see if the time was correct. IMO, the shade is better looking than the green. Just my thought.
