Mod question aka: Why was my post moved?

Since nobody has answered my question in the Open Discussion forum (since few actually read that one) I'll ask it here. Why was my post about my experience selling two ROLEX WATCHES (key words here) moved from this forum to the Open Discussion forum where the posting rules state..."This forum is open to all topics not Rolex or watch related" ? How was my post not watch and/or Rolex related.

The thread related to a communication problem between a buyer and a seller. The fact that the two watches were Rolex was incidental IMO.
I would think it was moved for that reason.

I agree with Eddie....

Reading your post, it had nothing to do with discussions about Rolex watches but was a rant about a buyer/seller disagreement.. Interesting, but just because you say "Rolex watch" in the paragraph, it might not been seen as actually discussing or enlightening anybody about the product..

I see that it was moved and then given a "Time limit" on where it was moved for your convenience in finding it........

Much like this one has nothing to do with Rolex watches and should be in the Suggestions/Gripes/Complaints Board...

I don't even know the thread you are talking about

If it was a buying/selling issue it should have really been in 'WatchOut!' as that is where all the buying selling issues are to be discussed. I thought that was crystal clear.

I also agree with Larry this thread is similarly just not Rolex related and should have been made in the 'support' section, and you could have easily sent a PM.

Every day, day in day out there are between 1500-2000 posts per day. 99.99999% or more all post correctly and there is never an issue.

I don't think it is fair to compare us to any other forum. We genuinely try our best without any political, social, commercial or economic agendas.

Nor me.

It looks to me that the post could have been legitimately moved to either the Buyer/Seller section or the Open section, both of which would have been slightly more appropriate than the General Rolex section since it was a discussion about a miscommunication between buyer and seller.

The mod obviously chose to move it to the Open section and left a forwarding link.

Seems like a decent job done to me.
