Daytona on ice. Probably the riskiest photo environment yet for me.

Most everyone knows I like to take watch photos. I am always careful with how the watches are positioned and that there’s no chance of damaging the watch but sometimes you have to just go for it. Today is a balmy 3 degrees and bright sunshine so other than the cold it’s great light for some winter watch pics. Creek was almost totally frozen but the rapids had a beautiful hand of ice in the sun begging for a cool pic. I had to lay down leaning way out over the rushing water holding my 13 Pro.
The chances I take for a good forum watch pic.

This one instantly became my screen saver.

Very risky but nice shots! I have my black 116500 since 2018 and it’s my favorite watch!!

Nice photo! I'm nervous for you. One slip and who knows what would have happened.

Mystro, thank you for the wonderful photo!

Putting a Daytona in a risky environment is not for the faint of heart!
Great detail by the iPhone!

Thanks everyone. I was totally prepared to go after the watch if the ice ledge broke off. I would have dropped the 13 Pro to grab the Daytona as it would have bounced down the rocks in the current. This only solidifies the safest place for your watch is on your wrist.

It was a fun experience and another cool “memory made” with the Daytona and I guess that’s really the point of why we are into this hobby to begin with.

Great shot. You needed to cool down the red hot market for this timepiece.

I am doing everything I can using a point-n-shoot iPhone camera instead of my DSLR camera. I am even taking unnecessary chances instead of perpetuating the safe queen mentality of the Daytona owner.

I'm new here so I don't get it...

I guess that's why OP's name is "Mystro"

P.S. No picture is showing up for me, neither on PC nor mobile

P.P.S. Must be my TRF settings because none of OP's dropbox photos from any of his posts are showing up for me...

Having some clear fishing line could be good to carry around on your photography jaunts.

Mystro, beautiful photos, just beautiful. I don't know how you do it though ... before placing my watch down on just a counter I have to grab a soft polishing cloth to lay it on. Man, I need to loosen up!
