What do you think of the new Royal Oak Diver?

I do like the blue dial and think the index markers are nicely styled and sized. It would've been a nice touch to have made the ceramic crowns the same colour as the dial, rather than black.

I like the colour combos, intrigued by the khaki and RG one, that has to be seen live tho. I did prefer the Audemars text on the dial instead of the AP logo, just always really liked the lettering style, and on the grey dial the AP logo will often get lost, would have liked both.

Must admit I rather like it with just the logo, but I've always thought the AP logo is attractive and works well visually. Looks like they've made it a bit bigger which balances well. Especially like it in gold on the green dial.

I never liked the rubber crowns, so ceramic crowns are a big step up IMO.

I like the removable strap idea. The blue seems to busy, the green tri color doesn't do it for me and the grey should have been kept as black. Only my opinion which is worth nothing.

The ceramic crowns are a nice upgrade, as the rubber wears down a little and rounds off
Would like to see more movement pics too Unsure on the hour markers, at first glance I prefer the overall dial aesthetics of the 15710 - but maybe just what I’m used to I read online the case finishing has been enhanced a little too, but would need other photos to compare. The quick change strap feature is really cool. It’s a great refreshed line up - the green dial with rose gold accents is a super touch.

The green dial is quite a looker. The Boutique got one in and I asked for a short video of it. Got on the list immediately after seeing the video. Really sharp watch.

I really like them, the Diver didn’t previously say ‘AP’ whereas the original Scuba had ‘AP’ on the dial and I always preferred the look of this.

I agree. I think they really got it all right on this one.

- AP logo - ceramic crowns - new movement - quick-change straps/buckle Dislikes - "O" at the top - square hour markers - lighter part (first 15 min) of the internal bezel - darkened rotor The stick hour markers, and their uniform length, of the 15710 Diver are more faithful to the original Royal Oak design |

As an owner of the blue version I think it’s great. I quite like the dark rotor as contrast to the gold rotor you get in the ‘dressier’ RO models.
Quick change is helpful - albeit it tend to stick with blue (until other colours become available). Ceramic crowns for sure are a big plus. |

The diver is such a great platform, and I think they really boiled it down to its essence with this one.
Comparing the new generation with the last: - The bold, square hour markers make the new dial more legible. Side by side, it makes the old diver's dial look busy. - Same with cropping the signature to the simple "AP" at 12. Clean. - Quick-change straps: Helps the diver serve its purpose -- a platform for expression -- even better. Can't wait to see what colors come next. |

Not a fan of the new (square) hour markers. Takes the watch / dial away from a Royal Oak look towards a Rolex diver. IMO the 15707 remains the most attractive AP diver there is.

The dark rotor finish on the new Diver is probably the same or similar to what was done on the rotor of my previous forged carbon 44m ROO. A yellow gold rotor would have suited that even less well than on any of the Divers. But instead of painting/coating a yellow gold rotor to better match the color scheme of the FC 44, and the new Divers, would have preferred AP used a white gold or platinum rotor. |

ROO Diver
AP weren’t able to sell me this watch as it’s a demo model. The blue didn’t appear to go lighter than this or darker than my 1st photo. Judging by the blue dial AP watches that I do own the blue is likely to be a rich vibrant mid blue in direct sunlight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am liking these much more than I originally thought. I wanted so much to like the grey (liked it more in pics) but I saw the green and was done for. When I hold the watch, they look HUGE but it changes as soon as I put it on my wrist. The green could be my first ROO. Fun watch to wear.

I agree based on the old divers I’ve seen. In person they are a completely different beast and on the wrist it all comes together in a way I wouldn’t have imagined. AP is right on with the divers and one must see it in person and try it on themselves. I like the divers more than the ROO.

I just collected mine in grey recently. I have to say that the new divers are so much better. Ceramic pushers and the new rubber strap is so much more comfortable than the old generation. If you haven’t seen the new diver in person, I highly recommend you to take a look at it in your nearest AP boutique. Picture does not do it justice

Great shot Ash, was hoping to see this one when I was up there. They had the green at the time.

I just went back to the Launch event video and saw that there is a 4th color - black - on the roadmap slide....but I haven’t seen the black version anywhere else. Has anyone else seen it?
