Collection Advice?? Please urgent
I have the option to add an offshore tourbIllion platinum 26388PO to my summer
Edition offshore. Or Instead of having the two I can just have one watch Royal Oak concept flying tourbIllion gmt. 26589io. Let me know which collection makes sense I’m torn between the two options since many have the experience of owning the same tourbiliions and can let me know which one to go for. Thank you all opinions and comments are welcome. |

I owned the 26288 and it was amazing, I don't think the 26388 has the same 'bling' presence though. I also owned the SE and it was LOUD and I was always far too concerned about scratches and dings to truly appreciate it.
If I was choosing the GMT I'd prefer the blue version, but that's personal preference. My choice would be 26388 and SE. Then you have one very loud watch and one less so. The GMT is very understated as a single watch. What a great dilemma. Enjoy the decision, it's half the fun. |

For me the choice is easy, the concept. The reason is that’s it’s completely different to anything I own or have on order and it’s also a watch that I hope to own one day.
IMO the summer edition is very nice but so bling that it can be seen from Space. The platinum tourbillon wouldn’t be my choice either but only as I already own the platinum 44mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Of course though the obvious answer is SE and GMT.

I’d go with having both ROOs - I’m inclined to think AP will have quite a bit up their sleeves with the concept line, particularly in the 42mm format so you can reassess then.
The GMT Concept will always be available to you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'd have both, still not warming to the concept case, but for you maybe keep the RG and add the Concept.

For what it's worth (as I don't own anything in that league), my favorites in that class are the blue flying tourbillon GMT, which I have tried and found stunning, and the new, limited ROO flying tourbillon chrono, which I have only seen on pictures/video. The latter is probably the only single watch I would consider trading my entire collection for. |
