Icon10 VC Platinum Pair

Had to post a shot of the two of these rare birds. Platine 1921 100th Anniversary and Platinum 1955 Cornes De Vache. Two true Vacheron icons!

Beautiful.

I need a 1921. Always loved its design. So different, so off.

Literally my 2 favorite VCs lol.

Congrats, they are awesome. The lugs on the chrono especially...they REALLY make the piece.

Two epic VCs! I love all the excellence platine pieces but that 1921 just shines...100 year anniversary piece is one to keep forever!

I mean both outstanding Ken. The 1921 100th is special though. I don’t see them come available often. The dial really sets it apart from the other versions. Have a good weekend my friend

Wow these are just amazing. So under the radar too. Both of those watches just absolutely ooze classy character and charm. I love watches that I see as having “charming” characteristics to them. I put my Omega Speedmaster First Omega In Space in that category, but these VC are on a whole other level. The CDV is my grail watch and I’d have a tough time picking which metal to go with, but your platinum is very convincing. The American I would only get in one of the few platinum versions and in that size.

Very cool and very nice. If you feel like it, please post more pics. The movements on these are amazing as well.

Can’t think of a more classy two watch combo!

Thanks my friend! It is truly a rare bird as you know. Lucky to have had this one hunted down for me truly unworn and brand new! Have a great weekend as well.

Thank you very much. I agree with you 100% of course. I get so tired of the same hype watches. Everyone chasing the same few references. I love the classics and it was my love for vintage watches which got me into watches in the first place. These have such a retro vibe and are so amazingly well finished. Very happy to have been fortunate to source them both.

I’m leaning more and more towards your line of reasoning. I still like some of the hype pieces, but I like a ton of other watches too and I’m really tending more towards non-sports watches for my future purchases. I agree these have a retro vibe, but done extremely well. I like the VC Overseas and some of VC’s other collections, but the Historiques collection really grabs my heart and makes me feel something beyond “that looks cool”. They look classy, thoughtful, and tasteful. I also like the Triple Calandrier, but there are a couple things holding me back from that one. I’m not a huge fan of pushers or partially cut off numerals, but those are just my subjective preferences.

They make some incredible watches. My favorite weekend watch is my 4500V in rose gold. The rose gold is muted not copper or pink. The bracelet is amazing and second to none. The blue dial is the best blue in the business. The ability to change straps and bracelet very cool system. So overall between the Historiques and the Overseas they make for great watches to own.

Though I won't ever afford it, but I really really wish the plat 1921 comes in 36.5mm and maybe pls for the love of God take away the tacky pt950 on the dial
The good thing is I don't need to dream about a watch I won't ever afford haha
Super pair though! The cdv is amazing as well
