6542 Bakelite dark hands/pointers

Hi,
I am trying to research my 6542, Bakelite. I have not found any info on one with
dark hands/pointers. Now wondering if this is a one off?
Any help, much appreciated!

The lume in the hands normally degrade and get darker, if that is what you are talking about.

They can also get somewhat moldy. That said, if you are considering a service for your very unique and sought after GMT 6542 watch, look for a specialist in vintage repair who will preserve the original parts. That bezel insert, dial, hands (a white seconds hand), case, and rivet bracelet appear, at first glance and given the relatively poor picture, original. Do not change a thing!

I don't think I am alone in saying we all need to see more pictures of your watch. Dial, back, sides, serial numbers, and inside the clasp. Blur out the last 3 digits of the serial number at 6:00 under the bracelet on the head of the watch. Pics of the movement would be good too but if you are asking about the hands I would assume you have not opened the case in years, maybe decades?

Experts will weigh in. I'm not one. Beautiful watch! Wear it in good health.
