Ceramic bezels driving SS shortages?
Does anyone know the relative time to manufacture a ceramic bezel vs an aluminum bezel? Given most of the "hot" SS models have ceramic bezels, I was wondering if this longer production time (including failure rate) might be the culprit in supply shortages? I've heard it takes 40+ hours per bezel (no idea if this is correct..) - so compared to the prior mass produced aluminum bezels, that could be a major driver in slowing supply. If that's the case, how quickly are these production times dropping as they streamline the process? Curious if anyone has insights here?

Demand is through the roof. Rolex not ramping production to meet the current demand. They are making highest revenue ever and their ADs making more money than ever. The bulk of what they doesn’t have ceramic bezels.

Rolex marketing shifts from low profit SS sport watch to higher profit DJ/TT/PM, simple is that. It started 2 almost 2 years ago. Ceramic bezel is nothing new, most of other brands have ceramic bezels. Rolex started the GMT LN with ceramic bezel around 10 years ago, they should master the production process now.
