Any minute now…

I’ll be joining the Paneristi club!

Waiting on FedEx to deliver a 2009 PAM 048.

My first, and probably my only, Panerai. I have pretty small wrists, and a 47-48mm lug to lug is about the max I can go. I’ve been pining for one of these 40mm Luminors for years and I was finally able to get a good deal!

I didn’t want to go Due 38 path because of the 30m WR. Full 300m on this bad boy!

I’ll post pics when it arrives!!!

First look! Next a strap change so I can actually wear it lol.

I didn’t realize these were a limited 1000 piece run?!? Not sure how that translates as monetary value in Panerai world but I feel like $3k was a pretty good price!

panerai oem strap

visited the panerai boutique. the manager was offering me to trade in my old pams for their new models. they must really be in bad shape doing all sort of gimmicks to sell their watches.

anyway I ended up getting what i was looking for. I found the last pair of vintage OEM strap 26/26. very difficult to find and i guess are not being made anymore.

I find the made in italy straps were more nuanced than the standard made in austria straps.

i have to admit panerai makes the best straps maybe better than their watches

Loving the look on the MN style strap! Just waiting on a proper 22mm now!

Seems to be running around -15 per day.

I love the earlier models other than the tritium 90s era versions. The newer current models not so much unless it’s a 911.. congrats.
