First 2023 Daytonas Hit the Market

Well, when Rolex said September, they meant it—squeezing it in here at the end. Here’s the first of the new 2023 Daytona on the market, aside from the Le Mans. Bidding is currently at $50k.
https://imgur.com/a/uDRLWg5 It’s the white gold Oysterflex with black dial. Ready to see some more real life pics of the new series!

I did not realize it has the glidelock. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come.

I guess they mean it’s only been tried on and not what I would call “worn worn!”

"Worn" when there was only one piece of a desirable model in the case never stopped anyone buying from the AD :)

You’d be surprised at how idiotic the people in that group are. I’m reminded of it every time I log on.

Not a fan of any of the modern day Daytona must be the most over hyped Rolex watch ever but many today buy the hype to wear it.Although it has a great chronograph movement that I would put in the top 5 ever made for what it is very very over priced in today's grey market. But there is a old saying a fool and his money is soon parted.

Well said. So overhyped and so overpriced, it is seriously ridiculous. At retail I would buy a SS, but not a penny more.

To each his own, for me it is the most beautiful dial of the range . I hope most people see it as a "meh" so less AD's shoes licking to obtain it !

Of course just meh among commonly hyped models, but beautiful for sure

If other OF references are indicators, this new reference will eventually exchange hands below retail.

I really like this introduction of contrasting sub-dials but also find it would be somewhat repetitive in my collection given my black 116500.

It’s an auction that still has a full day left. But I don’t think it will go up too much. Keep in mind, Moda is a dealer or wannabe dealer forum and they have to flip this to a retail customer so whatever they pay, they think they can sell for at least 5% more.

And this isn’t exactly the hottest Daytona either.

Retail in the U.S. is $32k

So it looks like it’s going to sell for around a 75% premium in a dealer group.
