Explorer II 16570 bezel clarification...
Hello friends,
I am interested in this Explorer II 16570 (1990). However, I was wondering if the experts out there could tell me if the bezel is correct. For some reason, when compared to other bezels, something doesn't seem quite right. The numbers appear smaller and less bulky and the distance between the numbers 18 and 16 is larger than usual, and the numbers 6 and 18 do not bisect the horizontal plane as normal. Also, the sunburst polishing on the bezel is not well done. All of these observations have cast doubt in my mind about whether this is an original explorer II at all? Any advice regarding the authenticity of this example will be greatly appreciated! Last edited by imperial2687; 12 December 2019 at 05:06 AM.. Reason: - |

The space between the 16 and 18 is the only combination on the bezel that has two 1's side-by-side, the narrowest of the numbers.

Thanks Tools, you are right. However, when compared to other EX11 images it just looked slightly larger to me?!
Do you think this is an authentic example? Thanks |
