Trade 126500ln “Panda” Daytona for an 38mm Royal Oak Chrono?
Currently have two new reference SS Daytonas in black and white. Counterintuitively, I prefer the Black.
Thinking of trading the 126500ln white for the discontinued 38mm 26315st Panda (white dial with blue sub rings) with vlittle cash on top. Both appear to wear the same size and both have the contrasting panda look. Don’t have an AP and this would be a chance to add my first AP that fits right (have a 6.5 wrist), would you do this trade or is the panda Daytona too iconic? |

Yes because you already have the 12 Black.

I would do it, since you already have an iconic Daytona. That RO chronograph is a beauty, wish I had been allocated one before it was discontinued.

There is no "counter-intuitive" to liking the black dial better. Its YOUR watch man - so if you prefer one over the other - cool.
Yes I would add the AP and trade it for the less desirable (to you) Daytona.

If at all practical add the AP, then see how it fits in to your collection.

I'd do it because you have the black dial already which I prefer over the white.
The AP would be a great addition. |

I would do it if I really wanted the AP and you prefer your black daytona. Which I like more than the white to. So yes, do it!

I would keep your two Rolex Daytona's. Iconic watches and very robust for wear. Before you do the trade see what service costs are and time frames for the AP. Also, look and see what the trade value would be should you be unhappy with the AP. With that information make an informed decision.

Not a huge of the modern day Daytona even less a fan of the RO range yes the RO has a good movement but just don't like the style. The Daytona IMHO has the better all round movement so would keep them over any of the RO range.

I think the Daytona looks a lot better than the AP.
Having both the black and white gives you nice options

The AP chrono is a great looking piece, but I absolutely HATE how the date window is not centered between the hour indices.
To this day I can’t believe that AP would cut corners on a $35k+ watch. Bring your movement in house and get it centered. Much lower end luxury brands wouldn’t even make this decision. |

1. How do you divide wear time between your AP and your Daytona? 2. Are there any differences in the finishing quality between this and other APs (Jumbo and the 15510st) in terms of the glisten of the bracelet etc? 3. Does it wear smaller than the Daytona, the same size or bigger? |

Hey 1. Yes I have the white daytona 11 and black 12 I wear the AP the most and then followed by panda 11 . Black barely ever getting wrist time and i wonder If it should be kept ! 2. The bracelet on the 38mm is slimmer than any 41 mm ofcourse due to size. And i like that as its less heavy and more wearable (btw I have a 41mm RO as well). Closed case back as the movement is not in house. The rest is same 3. For the wear ill post few pics now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Two completely different animals. I much prefer the smooth organic lines of the Daytona over the hard geometric design of the RO.

Since you have the black dial 12 reference, yes I would. I much prefer the black dial to the white dial and the AP is a nice way to mix things up.

I personally would keep the Daytona .. AP looks great on photos, but once on the wrist can feel very bulky and a look not to everyone’s liking ..

You just put into words exactly why I don’t care for the AP RO, or any similarly geometric shaped watches. I do like the affordable Tissot PRX Powermatic 80, though. I think it has less angles, that are somewhat softer, and a round bezel. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
