A scam alert without context is fairly worthless.

OP: we get that you are upset because you’ve posted the same alert 3 times in different places here on TRF. Is this seller on TRF?

And more importantly, a summary of what happened would help members.

Yep could be. That’s why some additional detail is pretty helpful to everybody. The “I got burned by satchmo“ email without anything more is useless

Yes I agree, some extra info regarding the scam should be stated so buyers would steer clear.

Steer clear and please don't make my mistake. Only use trusted sellers or make sure to Facetime and confirm ownership of the watch. I hope my stupid mistake can be a lesson for everybody. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is!

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't signed in in a while. He sent me photos of a watch I believed he had in his possession since he sent me pictures. I naively took this as proof and wired the funds before facetime or suggesting setting up an escrow. He got more and more flaky as time went on. First a delay with the funds being received, then some banking issue he had to sort out, with him ultimately going completely dark. I tried recovering the money using my bank and the police, but to no avail. A lesson learned, albeit expensively. I hope he is in the .01% of bad sellers. My interactions with the rest of the community have only been positive, especially the other users who read my story and offered up him email exchanges with the user in case they might be helpful to the police.
