Is this the Legendary 1530?

Saw this on the bay, and I was wondering if it is the real mccoy?

Don't know about that one Mikey, let's compare to one of Hannes' from his fabulous collection,

Might be one or two things different. LOL!

The hyphen after "officially", for a start?

If it were a fake, surely they'd make sure the spelling was right, no?

No?

There's no magnifying cyclops over the date window.

What's the eBay #?

Not at all... that was a way of telling the fakes back in the day.

It's weird to see vintage fauxlex... but I suppose not unheard of either.

That first one doesn't ring true to me...

I saw that one on the bay a few week back.

Hard to tell if fake, however that dial is DEFINITELY a fake or redone, and for that sort of money you can get one in a lot better condition.

I think the guy wants like $6-8K for it. So, it must be a relist. The case looks genuine OQ and the dial is terrible. I have never scene a hyphen in the name and I think the seller has a pic of the 1530 Rolex movement

I have seen fake Milgauss watches for sale on a site. Found it when I googled Rolex Milgauss. Even came with old style rivet bracelet.
With all the money in certain vintage Rolex watches it does not surprise me.

There are an awful lot of subs being passed off as "reds" or "double reds" this s true.

Milgaus

The milgaus or whatever the Rolex model is with those lightning bolt hands? Some are so expensive that we are talking enough money to buy an exotic sportscar . I found it odd they were faking vintage rollies at first.

The printing of the words below the hands looks awful too. Like some of the letters float above the rest.
