Movie: Wall Street - Charlie Sheens Watch?

Geez, it's funny what happens when you buy a luxorious watch like a Rolex.

Now whenever I watch movies and the like, I always check to see what kind of watch the actor may be wearing in the film.

I have my own copy of the movie "Wall Street" starring Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen.

I was watching it last night and "paused" the movie at the point where Charlie Sheen's character walks into Douglas' office un-announced for an inpromptu meeting.

When Douglas' secretary comes out of the office and tells Sheen to wait outside, there's a nice shot where Sheen is sitting in a chair waiting for the meeting and he glances down at his watch to check the time.

His watch is in a gold case. The numbers are all in roman-numerals from I to XII. The dial is white. The band/braclet is brown leather. When I paused the DVD, I could swear that was the Rolex Crown and the name "ROLEX" underneith it. Could it be a Cellini? The watch looked rather old for the time-period of 1985.

Can anyone/has anyone verified this?

I've never seen that film, but I can relate to pausing movies and checking to see if the actors are wearing a Rolex
I think it's a symptom of "the fever"

WOW!

Nice still-shot.

How much does a watch like that typically go for?

You really know your stuff.

Funny, I just saw a clip of that show and noticed he was wearing 'something'... Shot was too distant but it sparked my curiosity. I may even break down and watch an episode to see if I can catch a glimpse.

I am going to have to pay closer attention to Martin Sheen's wrist next time I watch the show.

Well, if it's Two and a Half Men we're talking about, I think he wears an SS/Plat YM.

Speaking of Charlie's dad;

I saw a couple of shots of Martin Sheen (West Wing?) wearing a gold clunky watch, I just assumed it was a Presidential...

Mark Harmon wears a black sub in Summer School (circa 87) It was funny that I noticed one scene he had a Jubilee and in another it had the Oyster!

Summer school

I remember that movie, it was the part where he was making Bob the clown for Wondermutt, his dog. It was a Rolex sure in both scenes and throughout the movie
