Flat 4 Kermit Prices
What's a fair price for a good condition Flat 4 Kermit 16610LV? The prices seem to be all over the place.

What you are willing to pay and don't buy any 16610LV without the official Rolex paperwork. As because some are willing to pay crazy money for flat four fonts god knows why, there are many many fake ones around.

Thanks for the advice on the papers because I considered buying with no papers.
I have a challenging time figuring out what's fair which is what I'm willing to pay for. The charts reflect the broader 16610LV prices so it's difficult to know what's with in reason for the specific flat 4 market. |

I see good examples around $20-23k USD. Good being unpolished, mint bezel insert, with full set, including papers and serial tag denoting LV.

No papers, but comes with serial-matching hangtag, making fake less likely. Sent from my CPH2583 using Tapatalk |

Fat or flat four is flat earth, to honestly buy that watch simply because of the number 4 is bonkers - IMHO ..
I love the Kermit, OG, it’s my top 4 .. pardon the pun, but come on seriously, it’s as bonkers as Daytona APH .. that’s my take anyhoo ..

The appeal is that it's the 50th Anniversary year if you get the specific year, not necessarily because of the aesthetics of the 4 itself.

What a nice example. Stickers and everything! It’s worth that price if that’s what you want. If it wasn’t a flat 4 I’d say it’s would go for that price anyway. That’s the best prices NOS flat 4 I’ve ever seen. I have a 2008 M serial LV and still follow the pricing trends. Good deal. Almost too good to be true

One of the TRF trusted sellers has a F0 serial flat four complete set currently listed for $17.9.

Thanks for the leads. Mine doesn't need to be NOS. Just in good condition, don't mind if polished.

I really don’t care about papers but the 16610LV is the only watch I would never buy without Rolex original papers / card. The reason being there is no way to tell if the watch is a 16610LV or a 16610LN that has been converted to a LV with the maxi dial/ different hands and green bezel insert. As for the Flat 4 I would personally look for one in the best condition (unpolished even better). And to be honest I would rather have an unpolished and mint non flat 4 vs a polished flat 4.

Yeah, I thought it was quite nice myself. I just bought an NOS DJ from 1993 from this guy, it was legit, so I wouldn't have much reason to doubt this one.
As many have stated, the lack of papers is likely the reason for the price the way it is, but I'm not sure they're worth $10-15,000 extra above that $20k example. That seems to be about the going rate for the other NOS I've seen on the market. On the other hand, despite how much I'd like a flat 4, I wouldn't truly pay any price above standard 14060 pricing for one. Very cool watch, I really want one, but just isn't in the cards for me at these prices. Sent from my CPH2583 using Tapatalk |

I’m just wondering if you’d think the same (deal breaker) if someone lived very close to an RSC. I am actually picking up an M Serial 16610LV without papers but already have an appointment to bring it personally to RSC for an evaluation. I’ve done this before with other pre-owned watches and they will dive me an estimate and print the green card (which should confirm the LV) and then I can decide whether to do a service or not. But this process will essential authenticate the watch for me. |

Why do you want an Flat 4. It's just a font and there are thousands of them. If it was me I will only buy original papers and service card from Rolex, and still not be comfortable it's not a fake unless I have RSC do a service. A watch like this without papers has no value to collectors , just in case you want to buy for investment. I would buy a normal Kermit only if you like how it looks. Same goes for the Hulk in my opinion.

Sold now, but seriously... to all those that think the 16610LV is a 20K watch... I told you 6 posts in. Anyway, you're welcome :)

At the end of the day, a good (of any kind) is only worth what the next guy is willing to pay. Definitely true
