Two of my kids were misbehaving.

So I sent them to Dallas.
I can't complain they were due for sure.
Just got them back today, the irony is I broke down and bought yet another Rolex today (unworn from 2000) and I will have it hopefully Tue (no it won't remain unworn)
When I called to pay for the service RUSA told me to keep an eye on my spam folder as I would be getting an email from FedEx alerting me to their shipping. Never got the email but got a nice surprise when I decided to stop by the office.
Actually wearing the DJ now for the first time in eons. I may not wear it often but I won't sell it as it was my first and marks a milestone for me

116600 & 16220

Nice to have your babies back home and working like new again. Does RSC send them back in those nice leather travel pouches?

Yes they do and they are pretty nice.
Much better than the flimsy suede pouches they used to sent them in.
I've got one more I need to send in soon so I will have

You can also ask most ADs for one. I use them to keep my watch in when it's in my golf bag.

Good deal. Always nice to get your watches back from service. Sometimes it fells like a new watch.

I wore the DJ last night to the in laws for dinner.
I remember why I haven't worn it in so long, it's an L and just feels so light and flimsy.
I won't sell it as it was my first but the modern DJ just wears better in my opinion.
Im glad I got it fixed but if I wear it even a few times a year I'll be surprised.

Sounds like you had quite an eventful day! It must be a relief to have the kids back and behaving better. Congrats on your new Rolex purchase—unworn from 2000 is a fantastic find!

It's always a pleasant surprise when things work out smoothly with FedEx, even without the email heads-up. Enjoy wearing your Datejust again; those first watches always hold a special place in our hearts. The 116600 & 16220 are great pieces to have in your collection. Wear them in good health!

Was wondering the same.

The datejust is stunning with that specific dial. No idea if you don't like the jubilee, put it on an oyster bracelet if you want to switch it up.

Cool! I have exactly the same DJ 36mm you have, it was my first Rolex I purchased on my first job after grad school. Nice pair!

Before Rolex went random serial you could get a rough idea of when it was produced by letters that were at the start of the serial #
