15300 or 15450 for smaller wrist?

Recently i hv been thinking of buying a 15300 or 15450 in blue dial for my first AP. My struggle is on the fit on my 6" wrist and availability on the market.

15400 - way to massive on my wrist
15450 - kind of between very nice and slightly small, afraid of looking like a
women's watch
15300 - love the AP at 12, 39mm, might be the best choice?

Last month i was dying to look up online and want to get a 15300. I found that either its overseas sellers (i based in HK) or its very pricey (nearly a double as retail) for a 10-12 yr old watch, especially for blue dial.

Should i just give up and buy a 15450 with less premium?
Let me know your thoughts!!

15300 would be perfect. I would avoid the 15450 as it would definitely be too small and look like a women’s watch.

ive gone through the exact same dilema...about a month into researching...the consensus seems to be 300 is the way to go...hope your search goes well!

Gorgeous. The blue seems more like a cobalt blue compared to the navy blue on the 15400.

15300. It is the perfect RO in my opinion.

15300 ALL DAY LONG!!!!! The 15400 is too big! unless you have huge wrists and are a big dude. I have the 15300st with Blue dial and a friend has the 15400. His looks too big on normal sized wrists and the dial has a lot of unused space. The 15300 is the best all around piece. The hard part is finding the 15300 blue dial these days. Especially if you want the original box and papers. They are selling at a premium.

It's 12 O'clock marker has the AP on it Vs the two markers on the 15400.
It's the same size 39mm to the original Gerald Genta design of the 15202.
It has the screw down crown, quick set date, and seconds hand that the 15202 does not have.

You can wear the 15300 to meetings and not draw too much unwanted attention to your wrists. People who know, know.

Nope. 15450 tapers down narrower.

im so regret that i wasnt aware of this wonderful piece back in the time when price are more reasonable. am frustrated on finding recently...

I agree. IMO for a 6inch wrist, any of the 36mm models would fit and look the best e.g. 14790, 14800, 25594, 25730, 25572, 25920 etc. They do not look like women's watches at all.

The blue of the 300 and 400/450 are very different, the 300 was always too navy and almost black for me, the new ones are a more dynamic blue.

Some of this is personal taste, but for the OPs 6" wrist, I think there are a few 15450s that I see that look great and would work. I have a 6.5" wrist and my 39mm ROC looks perfect to me as it is about 50mm across the wrist. I've tried the 41mm ROs and I just don't feel that I can pull it off.

the 15450 works fine actually but seems it looks a bit thick as the dial is smaller with same thickness. i think at this moment id prefer 15300st. Problem is there is no one selling it right now lol

Anyone suggesting that the 15450 is too small for your wrist is talking utter nonsense in my not-very-humble opinion!

I have had two and they work great on my 6.5” wrists. My wife tends to wear the silver dial, it’s a bit oversized for her, but she likes it.

Some guys are obsessed with size of course, but just go with what you like.

That looks amazing. But if the 15300 is a bit too small on my 7” wrist then the 15450 would definitely be too small for me. I do love it though and on a 6.5” wrist it is pure perfection.

Agree, the 15450 wouldn’t have enough wrist presence on a 7” wrist.

I also have a 6” worst and love the 15450. I previously had the silver dial but never bonded with that color so sold it. I just picked up a blue dial 15450 a couple of weeks ago from my AD and absolutely love the shade of blue. I’ll try and post a pic when I can.

The fit is perfect on a smaller wrist. I think for a 6” wrist it’s the perfect version of the RO.

6" wrist, 36mm, owned from new in 1997.

Honestly, nowadays I think I'd like it to be 1mm larger, but not larger than that, so 15450 would be my personal choice but hey, it's up to you.
