Real or Fake AP Royal Oak?
Hi All,
There is a listing for an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15500ST on ebay. Unfortunately it doesn't qualify for the ebay authentication check because it had the crystal replaced by a 3rd party. Also, it says it is shipping from Canada but the seller is in Portland. He said he was on a trip when it listed so it showed up there (red flag?). Please let me know what you all think of the watch, I've asked for a picture of the appraisal he said he got. The seller has 100% feedback but hasn't sold too much lately. Thanks for your help in advance. |

I don't have an opinion on the watch itself, but the circumstances you described would make me run and not look back.

based off everything you said i would already be running away
on another note, why does the movement look like everythings been rotated 90 degrees? compare it to a real listing from takuya and everything looks to be in the wrong place |

You shouldn't need us to tell you it's an obvious fake.
What's your gut tell you? Shop for your seller FIRST. Then buy your watch. You are doing it backwards. |

Thanks for all of the responses. The seller seems to have a legitimate website and good ebay feedback.
However the responses have been interesting, so I guess enough red flags to hold off then. Thanks for the advice. |

I’m very familiar with this type of fake RO as I’ve seen one in the flesh, and you will get burned if you don’t know what you are looking at.
As others have said, run away fast!

Very fake, some of the gears 'n' cogs on that movement are clearly nothing more than moldings.
