PM - too much for me all the time

First time traveling with my PM Daytona, had it on for almost 4 days.

Loved wearing the piece, but after returning home it was nice to put on a stainless piece.

The heft of the PM (both literally in weight and figuratively in value) was just too much to wear ALL the time. Made me realize that I couldn’t only have a PM watch.

I, for one, enjoy feeling the weight of PM- with a full PM bracelet-in a daily-wear.

For me, the “weight” is more of a mental one in that with PM you need a greater degree of wrist (and doorway) awareness to avoid dents/dings/scratches b/c of the soft metal and b/c you need more situational awareness (more so with YG).

Is there much difference in weight between, for example, a PM Daytona on rubber and a 126610?

I would think the Oysterflex bracelet would neutralize any perceived weight problems. For example, I’d imagine a solid gold Sub with solid gold bracelet would be a lot heavier.

Beautiful watch by the way….

On the contrary, for me. Since i got my Day-Date at the end of august, i don't want to take it off my wrist. I've only worn the Sub once, for no more than 1 hour. For me, the heft and presence of a full PM watch, especially YG, is completely addictive.

I personally find wearing a Daytona like yours even easier, since is WG and on OF, but to each his own. Love your meteorite dial!

I can see that OP. For me SS is the perfect all round material for an everyday watch.

I agree. I love my PM watches but SS is my choice for a daily.

Full YG and RG don't suit me at all. I could probably live with WG. Physical weight doesn't bother me but I get what you say about visual weight. Entirely a personal thing.

To each their own, for me it is the opposite. I almost never wear SS anymore

Opposite for me once I went PM it's hard to think about wearing SS again and with yours being on OF it should be very manageable

I have come full circle and went from SS to TT to PM to almost an entire collection of PM watches. I have since circled back around to mostly SS and Titanium watches. I still own a PM watch but it really get no wrist time. It only took 30 years to make this circle.

I can clearly feel the weight-different between a SS Sub and a PM Daytona when I have them in-hand.

But on wrist ... I can't.

My WG Daytona on Oysterflex weighs significantly more than my stainless Sub.
