Sd43 owners need your help.

I removed the divers extension and am left with 4 links on the 6 o clock side and 6 links on the 12 o clock side. The glide lock looks off centered slightly on the short side. The watch keeps wanting to push down my wrist. How do you all have your watches set up? I have my submariner on a rubber B so I never set it up on it’s bracelet. Thanks in advance.

I have ordered a half link. Was going to add it to the short side but now am unsure.

I have a 7/7.25 in wrist and found 4.5 links on the 6 side and 5.5 links on the 12 side to be the perfect set up.

Try adding a full or half link to the 6 o'clock side and pulling the Glidelock all the way in...

7.5" wrist here. I have 6 links at 12 o'clock and 4 links at 6 o'clock (dive extension removed). Perfect for me as the clasp is centered and with Glidelock all the way in it is tight and with glide lock all the way out it is loose. Max adjustability. You'll want to set things up like this so when the Glide lock is all the way in the smallest position you can just barely wear it (tight).

Have this set up but the clasp rides high on the 6 o cock side. was thinking adding a half link to make it 4 1/2 and 6 links will do the trick. 7.25 inch wrist for reference. You dont feel the clasp rides slightly more to the 6 o clock side?

I added a full link just to see and it made it really off center the other way. I have ordered a half link and think it might work. Thank you!

Did you buy new from an AD? It should already have a half link option.

That said, I have a 7” flat wrist and have mine set at 5.5 at 12 o’clock and 4 at 6 o’clock. The glidelock is out 3 notches and dead centered.

I bought it from a TS on here. Should it have come with a half link? The divers link was removed as I was going to remove it anyway. I ordered a half link from another TS. Pics for reference. Thanks

I believe the factory links are 6 per side and there is a half link on the diver extension side. In your photos the braceket looks too tight to me try to move one link to the opposite side so you have 6 on each side. the half link is not missing, , and then adjust with the glidelock extension. You are not counting the link at the case. So put 6 and six and a half on one side , six on the other side. if the glidelock is extended all the way, you need to buy another half or full link.

Thanks. I tried it 6 and 6 earlier and it made it worse on the 12 o clock side. I ordered a half link. Hope to get it soon. Thanks.

Is the half link on the 12 o'clock side not an integral part of the extension link that sits within the clasp itself? This seems to be the case on mine as opposed to having a removal half link as such?

No there is a half link from factory in addition to the fixed half link.

I don’t see a half link with mine. I just ordered one for $120. I’m guessing mine wasn’t included with my watch since I bought it from a TS. Maybe it was overlooked?

Move one link from the 12 side to the 6 side and it should be perfect.

...and don't get discouraged. These are tough to get right because of the glidelock. So it's not as simple as this many on one side and this many on the other. The key is get the six side set up to your liking first. The 12 side can slide in and out of the glidelock as needed to get things right.

As for the half link. Yes you should have one with the watch. I have 5.5 at the six and 6.0 at the twelve for my 7.75" wrist. Took me three separate visits to the AD to get it perfect and now I couldn't get it to fit better if I tried. Finally nailed it! You will too

That was the same exact set up I had. My wrist is right around 6.5" and the buckle sat pretty much in center. Yours looks a little tight on you. You could add one link on 6:00 and then move the micro adjustment in if there is any room. Otherwise, it doesn't look that far off center to make a difference to me.

I am confused with amount of links a new sea dweller should come with. When people are saying six links each side is that including the one into the case ?
My brand new came with five one side and five and half link and half link attached to extension on other. ( not including in to case) is this right?

This doesn't look anywhere near centered to me. Switching one full link should even this out IMO.

Don’t forget about utilizing that glide lock. I found that using the half link doesn’t really look right and messed up the seamless continuity of the beefy bracelet. I took the divers ext off (a must try) and have 5 full links on the 6 side and 6 full links on the 12. Perfect for my 7.5 wrist

7.75'' to 8'' Wrist. 5 links @6 o'clock 5.5 links @12 o'clock. Glidelock favoring 12 o'clock. Real close to being centered. Wears well for me.

Did you buy an extra link? I bought mine form a TS and only have 10 links total and the divers extension. No half links. Just 10 total links not counting the ones that a taxi the bracelet to the watch.

Can you post a pick of your half link?

I did not get the half link. I bought from a TS. I ordered one for $120. I wonder if I should ask the TS about it.

I would ask. It's definitely supposed to come with it. Did you get the liner out of the box and make sure it's not under that?

Half link looks like this:

Thanks. I think the half link exactly like yours will do the trick. Same exact place.

I would really suggest swapping one link from the six to the twelve side and see how that works. You may wind up not even needing the half link.

...sorry meant to say from the twelve to the six side, to balance out the links. Then see if the glidelock can do the rest.

So the TS who I bought the watch from is sourcing me a half link and shipping it our Monday. I already contacted another TS to send me one and I’ll have it by Saturday or Monday. Now that I will have 2 and only will need one what would be the best way to sell the other one?

I wear my SD43 with and without the diver extention

With the diver extention:
4 links @ 6
4 links plus D.E @ 12

Without the D.E.:
4 and a half links @ 6
5 links @ 12

My wrist is 17cm (6.75 inches)

Without the D.E. is better
With the D.E is Cooler!

I PREFER COOLER.

I bought my Rolex in an AD, The original configuration was:

5 links @ 6
5 and a half Link plus D.E @ 12

Then 10 full links
1 half link
1 D.E.
