First Rolex: First Exploration
30th Anniversary (theme: time flies) so a good excuse to find another watch to complement my recent purchase of an Omega Hesalite Sandwich (3572.50) and that would fly under the radar: Explorer II 216570. Oh and picked up a first time Rolex for my wife (DJ 31, Black Face, Fluted, Stick, Jubilee bracelet)
Thanks to RolexForums for providing me with the research I needed to decide what model I wanted. Can't tell you the number of hours and the number of threads I read but all in good fun. Shoutout and big thanks to Dave at DistinctiveTime for making this a painless process, taking a custom order, understanding my requirements and at the same time saving me a lot of money! Apologies that some of these picts included stickers still on the watch, I was a bit nervous to take them off - but as of today, they are all removed…I think! I tried to include a few picts from further back as most photos on the web were closeups - sorry for so many picts - first post excitement (FYI, 7"wrist). |
