SD43 ruined...

My SD43 has ruined all 40mm Rolexes for me. I've owned several Subs in different colors and two GMTs with the BLNR and Coke. I've been purging my collection over the last few years, in hopes I'd get down to two I really, really enjoyed. After I held my goal for a solid year with an LVc and BLNR, I realized I really wanted to get down to one but I never had the ONE watch that made me want to get there........until I tried on an SD43. Never thought I'd say it, but I sold my last two 40mm and I couldn't be happier. Has a similar story happened to anyone else with an SD43 or a different model??

Nope.

Although I do really enjoy the SD43 and larger references, I still think 40mm is the best daily wearer for me.

totally agree. The 40mm is just a tad too small, but the SD43 is perfect. I really think it's the first and last Rolex Ill purchase.

The robust, and proportionate stance of the SD43, has definitely caused me to call into question whether or not I actually wanted to keep some of my other Rolex models. It definitely does put them in a somewhat anemic light comparatively.

It’s the one Rolex that really got everything perfect.

I will say that after you get used to wearing the SD43, you will feel like a 40mm watch is small.

Funny as I look at my meager collection now, vs when I first got into this expensive hobyy, I don't even own a watch 40mm or smaller.

2 - 41 mm
1 - 42 mm
1 - 43 mm

My daily wear Pelagos dwarfed my SubC so much that the Sub felt dainty and not special to put on after a while. When I started reaching for the Pelagos on weekends too, I knew it was time to part with the Submariner. So I got a Deep Sea, and it seems perfect for me. I don't think I can go back to 40mm any time soon, maybe a 40mm dress watch if my lifestyle calls for that in the future.

The opposite happened to me....the sd43 made me like my 40mm s more.....i disliked my sd to behonest....just looked a little too homage for my liking but it sure seems to be popular

I can't take the SD43 off. I wear it in the shower, to bed, to work, cleaning diapers - I refuse to put on any other watches.

A great choice for most but, unfortunately, my wrist is too dainty for the SD43. If I were to own just one good watch I don't think it would be a sport watch. A watch that would allow me to be content with just one would be a DD36 in WG.

I suggest going gray also. I realized I was not going to get one through an AD, despite making numerous in person attempts in 3 different states. I ended up paying a $1100 flat premium over MSRP + taxes for a NIB SD43 with warranty card in my name from a trusted seller on the site. Sometimes you gotta pay to play in life....this is one of those times.
