I made the move! Do I get to say Incoming!?

After months of research and annoying questions I finally bought my first Rolex!

It is a 11520 - built in 2013, bought new in 2014. Full CPO and comes with every single piece of info from the watches history.

I specifically wanted this watch because I met my wife in 2013 and I proposed in 2014. When I proposed we were in Chicago and I wandered into the Rolex store on Michigan Ave. They had this exact model ready to buy new. Like a fool, I decided to think about it and left the store.

10 years later I was able to buy basically the exact watch from the weekend I proposed to my wife. Really fun and I'm really enjoying the watch!

- One question. Do any of you recommend a good stand for the watch for like next to your bed or on your desk?

Thanks for all the help!

Looks wonderful!

The story is even better. I’m glad you were able to find a watch that has such special meaning to you. Wear it in the best of health and wear it often.

That's actually my favorite Daytona (Of the modern ones). Current bracelet. The silver subdials makes it a LOT easier to read too.

It is an APH on top of it! I still don't believe this makes it more valuable, but sort of a cool thing I suppose!

Congrats and beauty!

Not a stand per se but love the Carapaz roll my wife bought me. It has a feature where you can use it as a stand too… excellent quality!

I'll second the Carapaz watch case. I bought one & I've been really happy with it. I use it for storage more than display but it sort of has a display function. Very well made.

Thanks. That is a good looking case. I just want something I can rest the watch on when I'm typing or when I go to sleep.

Here is the one I have in its “display mode” where the cushions sit upright. Easy to set and the cushions are the high quality type that are easily compressible/shapable to your wrist size. Also, you can order or select different sizes.
