Is Rolex still offering the green bezel Sub?

Welcome to TRF!

Yes, Rolex is still offering the "LV" (Lunette Verte) Sub Date 16610.

There has been much speculation about it being discontinued in near future, but I for my part do not think the LV is going to be discontinued anytime soon, since it has a very different look to it compared to the ordinary SS Sub Date, since the LV has a "Maxi Dial" and the green bezel insert. It has its place as a special model in the Rolex range, and I cannot visualize it being taken out of the model range.

It's a great watch. There's always been a lot of misunderstanding about the LV. It's a regular production watch (albiet in fewer numbers) to comemorate 50 years of the Submariner.
As to it's future--who knows? More will come to light as Rolex revamps the line.

It is fantastic in person. There are many (quite) gifted photographers here at TRF, but you just have to view it with your own eyes to believe how that green LV bezel captures the light. Mike, for one, has taken some excellent lume shots. Hey, guys! Lets see 'em!

I just got mine last week. It was the last one my AD had in stock. I was going to wait and purchase one next year, but the AD called and was told she could no longer get one. It may have been a sales triack to get me to buy, who knows.

When does Rolex revamp their line? Do they have a specific time to introduce new models? Is that what Basel is?

Bazel is the annual show where the major manufactures introduce new references or upgrades. As to a "timeline" only Rolex knows that, though it seems over the next few years upgrades(new references?) to the line are in the offing.

I was quite interested in the Sub LV model 'till I saw it beside the TT Blue Sub. Which of course is more expensive. Much more.

Damn my highbrow tastes.

That said, I would still choose the Sub LV over the regualr black sub if given the chance.
