Mods: Why Am I Getting This PM Reply ?
Not sure where to post this...
This morning I posted in the WTB section and within minutes received this spam reply. Do I need to increase any security on my end? I would hate it if I did something that adversely affected other forum members.... |

Another great reason to sell to a Trusted Seller on here and not have to deal with all the scammers out there

Just do your part to report to moderators after getting messages like this. That's the only to combat these low life scammers

March 2022 account with no activity and terrible text. Scammer. You have to be careful and there are many good people here with feedback that can help that are not a scam. Just be careful and do your due diligence.

Thanks guys. I figured as much. I just wasn't sure if I needed to add any type of security to my accessing the forum. I'm a member of a couple other forums that seem to use the same (or at least very similar) forum platform, yet we don't see a lot of scammer-type activity.

I got a Random PM today. I got a similar one two weeks ago. Person asking me to give a reference to a person I’ve never bought from. I don’t have and WTB posts. It seems like a scam but for the life of me can’t figure out how this scam would work. M

Scammers are CONSTANTLY targeting the WTB area.
Do your due diligence. Also IMMEDIATELY report these scam attempts to the moderators so they can deal with it - use the red triangle button next to your online/offline status in the member area at the left.
