EU Rolex ADs website removed prices?!
Did anyone else notice that within the last few days all dealer’s websites stoped displaying prices?
I was using weirandsons.ie or besha.bg for € price refference. Some of the PM ref (Platona) had the “Price on demand” tag but other than that it was a nice quick MSRP guide. Too bad I don’t have a screen shot to prove it, never thought I’d need it. Can’t help notice that the same weirandsons.ie still shows the PP MSRP prices... Watch complications vs marketing complications. Pretty clear who will win, right...? Must appreciate Rolex, they thought “Hey, if you can’t even buy the watch in the first place, what good would it do to you to know the price? Go ask a grey!” |

German versions of Wempe, Bucherer and Rolex itself show prices.

I just checked. If I check from my own IP address in the Netherlands, I see no price as well. If I check using German IP address through VPN, it shows me the price. Good news is, finding a free VPN that allows you to use foreign IP address isn't hard. Bad news is not all countries will be present in all VPN providers and sometimes VPN doesn't work correctly (for example a VPN I used lead to misidentification of their Ireland address being seen as Romainan by some websites). But the ADs still show the prices on the website (and so does Rolex.com in some but not all countries), just as long as you're actually in that country or use a VPN.

Interesting - US prices popped right up. Keep us on the loop maybe something is changing in the EU first.

If I check the Rolex website (from the Netherlands) I can still see the prices.

Rolex UK website still shows prices.
My local AD doesn't show prices for Rolex watches, never has. They do have the link to the Rolex website. |
