The Rolex Explorer is one of the most beloved models in the house. In 1989 the reference 1016 closed its brilliant service record, giving way to the Reference 14270. The new reference abandoned the matte dial and returned to the shiny texture, with white gold edges on the applied indexes. The 14270 stayed true to the 36mm diameter of the original Explorer, albeit with the new caliber 3000 inside. The case was also larger and more robust, modernizing its appearance. In addition, the acrylic glass from 1016 was replaced by a sapphire glass, another clear sign of modernization.

Case: Excellent condition, thick and seems unpolished. The 14270 Explorer sports a Rolex-style 36mm oyster casing. The distance between lugs is only 43.6mm. With a height of 11.1mm, you get a sleek and discreet package that many people will find quite comfortable.

Bezel: The bezel does not show any signs of wear, equally in amazing condition.

Dial: The dial on the Explorer 14270 is one of the cleanest, most balanced, and well-proportioned on any watch.

Hands: Original factory hands, pristine.

Bracelet and Clasp: The bracelet and clasp show very light signs of wear, it should fit any wrist size.

Movement: Working correctly.
