Incoming - UK - Sub Date

Phoned a few ads earlier today and managed to find a goldsmiths with a sub date so went to pick it up instantly (last day before the price rise)

Paid £5,700 and from other threads tomorrow it is rising to £6,250

A nice feeling twice over then. The fact you got a great watch and it will be so much more expensive in a few hours makes it even better.......enjoy

Incoming sub date

But how? None of the AD's near me and even those that aren't don't have any?

Nice watch BTW and congrats on finding one!

I made a list of about 40 AD's within south east england, started phoning through the list, phoned 3 with no answer then phoned Goldsmiths in Canterbury and asked if they had any stainless subs they could sell today, woman checked and came back and said yes we have one, so drove there straight away (about 40 mins)

Huge congrats Eddy! Hard work pays off. Enjoy it in the best of health.

By the way, how long has that style of bezel protector been in use? I've only ever known of the clear type. I've never seen this style until yesterday when I noticed from far away someone had on a cloudy bezel protector on what looked like a Rolex.

I had a similar experience a couple of months ago.
Visited various AD's in London Regents Street, New Bond Street & Bluewater and all had waiting lists of 3/4 to 10/11 for a SubC with date black.
Decided to phone around the provincial AD's on a Friday morning and the first call to Goldsmiths, Tunbridge Wells found that they had none in stock but were expecting an allocation from Rolex of one on the coming Monday morning at about midday.
So I drove down from London and sat in a Nero's café close by at 11.00 am and just after noon rang the bell of the security door.
Yes, It had arrived, just!
The Salesman showed me the watch in its clear plastic travel container complete with all stickers.
On my wrist it looked quite superb! ( of course!)
The Salesman much regretted there would be no discount but as compensation offered a bottle of Moet & Chandon!
The watch is gaining about 1 second per 2/3 days which I am very pleased with.
It pays to phone around for sure!
