Baume & Mercier Riviera
Has anyone else looked at Baume & Mercier lately?
On a whim, I picked up a Riviera in 39mm. It scratches my itch for something that fits in between my abundance of sport watches and dress watches. It's also a modern interpretation of a design originally launched 50 years ago, if that is important to anyone. As an integrated bracelet sports watch, it's also at a pretty attractive price point. The watch has an impressive 5 day power reserve. I've seen a few things online wondering how much of the movement is shared between the Riviera and the IWC Ingenieur as the specs are similar. It's a nice wear at 39mm and 10.2mm thick. FYI, I did try the 42mm, but with the way the rubber strap flares from the case, it wears much bigger. I have a 17 cm wrist, in case you were wondering. |

That’s a nice timepiece that’s a bit different.
