Already Here! : Blue OP 116000

Just received over the weekend a blue OP 36 mm 116000 (bought from a fellow member) and have to say am really impressed; never saw one in person before buying it, pictures don't do justice!

Great piece, and preferable to the current Explorer, IMO. More restrained.

Agree! I had the original version of the 39 mm 214270 Explorer (first) and the 36 mm 114270 (twice); love the resemblance with the 3 / 6 / 9 arabic (lumed markers is a bonus) and the fact wears a bit bigger than the 114270. The fact it also has a better bracelet is another plus.

I'm putting mercedes hands and the 16034 wg fluted bezel, so will have some resemblance to the 36 mm Explorer

These things are amazing. They rarely go up for sale!

I've worn one a few times and the thing looks, feels and wears incredibly well. It is one of my favorite references.

Congratulations on such a phenomenal buy!!

Looks really amazing, just how a Rolex should, saving for one, I have just bought a 116900 Air King, so it won't be for a bit yet. Were they ever produced with a tuxedo dial?

The 116000 is a lovely reference. I wish I could get ahold of a black dial one for a less than ridiculous price. Nice watch!

If you meant limited edition / japan market black dial with white markers yes very rare and expensive. You could buy the black dial with pink markers and have it relumed in white (thought about doing that, decided to source a blue instead)

Good choice, i have the same. Some watches look better in person than in pictures, others look better in pictures than in person ... this watch falls into the former category imho.

congrats, welcome to to the club
