Rubber B on SD4K - BAD FIT

Having spent two hours (!!!) today trying to fit a Rubber B strap on my SD4K, I finally gave up and will be returning it. Before you ask, I had the right tools and had specifically ordered their SD4K version of the strap, and still it was a bloody nightmare. As some of you may know, spring bars on SD4K are positioned very close to the case, to the point where even a nato strap can barely go through, so I suspect that has something to do with a bad fit of Rubber B, but in my opinion they shouldn’t be selling a product that is a nightmare for customers to deal with.

Luckily I was very careful and didn’t scratch the lugs or the case, but suffice to say that I will not be going on this crazy adventure ever again.

Can you show photos of the springbars? I have never changed strap on a SD4k, but at the very least if the width is correct you should be good to go. Worst case, maybe new springbars?

They look better on the bracelet they came on anyway.

It's not you. You might need to use smaller spring bars. Had the same problem with fitting the RubberB to Batman. Wish they designed these to work with the stock spring bars.

Best bet may be to get a refund.

Perhaps I should’ve done some research prior to making the purchase, but I didn’t suspect that something like this would happen.

PPS: Hey ROLEX, pretty please with sugar on top and a cherry start offering rubber bands (with pin-buckle as an option). There's an abundance of demand, and with Rolex quality, we'll know it fits properly with Rolex spring bars.

My guess is that with smaller diameter tip on the spring bar, you would get it to fit. RB didn’t supply springbars?

Maybe they sent the Sub version by mistake. It will not fit.

I am on old thread above from 2016. Had same experience except RB sent thinner spring bars to use. The fact that I was having to use a thinner and probably weaker spring bar did not make me happy, but then I couldn’t get the straps on anyway even with those spring bars. They were reluctant to offer me a refund. And I paid shipping to return!!

Had the same issue with my 14060m.

I was told I had to use the included rubberb spring bars in order for the strap to fit.

That solution was unacceptable to me as they were of very different construction than the oem bars. (Lugholes vs non lugholes type. Had shoulders where none were needed; were thinner; did not extend the same length).

I even shaved some of the rubber off where it was rubbing. That still did not work.

Lots of profit on a plastic strap… to combine with poor fitment and poor customer service … unacceptable.

Totally agree on non-OEM spring bars. Furthermore, the little sack they came in, had a label “Omega SM300” on it.

I recently bought a white RubberB for my blue Seamaster 300M. Ihave not tried it yet. I hope it’s better than your experience. I know you double checked to be sure they didn’t send you a 300M band, just wrong packaging?

It’s definitely an SD4K strap, because when I tried to slot it in without the spring bars, the shape was right.

I had the same issue Eventually after a long period of time & a lot of frustration, I installed it. Looked good but not as good as the metal bracelet so after I week I switched it back.

I did get an Everest strap. Much improved from the Rubber B. Went on easily and rubber seems more comfortable.

Although the rubber b did not work for sd4k, I do have one for the DSSD and it remains a good strap for that watch. Flares out from lugs and works well to stabilize the size.
