NY/Dallas RSC vs. AD-based "RSC" (warranty repair)?

So seems that I got 32xx-ed. Well within the warranty period but I'm curious whether it's generally better to have these things handled by one of the central service centers, or go local?

Has anyone had an AD-based RSC service a 32xx under warranty? This will be a first for me.

Not under warranty, but my 14060m had it's first service in 22 years by my local AD RSC. I was able to communicate with the watchmaker personally and the AD staff. The time frame was quicker than anticipated as well. Overall, great experience and would use my local AD RSC over Dallas or NY every time!

Case by case basis. I've had both and they're both fine as long as the warranty is recognized by the Rolex mothership.

If the watch is going for a problem under warranty it has to go to a central service center Dallas or NY not a local AD with on site watchmaker.

Is that still the case now that many ADs are considered "RSCs" (and show up as such when searching for RSC on the website)?

Perhaps you are intending to state this as your personal preference, but ADs are authorized to complete new-goods warranty work, assuming the watchmaker on site has the appropriate training and tools.

Yes, many ADs are RSCs.

If it were my watch, with the known slow down problem of the newer movements, I’d want it to go to NY or Dallas.

I know the Lititz trained and Rolex certified watchmaker at my preferred local AD and I like him, he and I have spoken before about the 32XX issue and he’s worked on a number of my watches. He’s an excellent communicator. If I had a warranty or other service issue I would prefer that he address it.
