New moon watch choice??

Getting ready to purchase a new Speedy Pro moonwatch to have as an everyday chrono.
The question is do I go bracelet or gator strap? I am leaning toward the gator because it is cheaper, I’m not crazy about the Omega bracelet, and I like the way this watch looks on a NATO anyways.
Would like to hear thoughts from some owners...thanks

I actually was able to get an excellent fit with the bracelet. However many have issues getting a great fit and wear with leather, nato, etc. what I can say is that if you think you may want the bracelet I would purchase with the watch as it tends to be more expensive getting later on.

Strap. I have gone 4 years with a speedy without a bracelet and have never felt the need to get one. Feels right on a strap or nato.

Bracelets seem to be abundant if you decide to want one.

A bracelet will last for decades...…… straps, not so much.

I've owned 4 speedys, there is a half link that I've used, not very expensive and easy to get in a boutique.

I would go bracelet, you can always add a strap, but buying the bracelet outright can be expensive.

The alligator strap and deployant clasp that currently come with a new Speedmaster Pro are my favorite way to wear mine. I do use the bracelet in the summer because I prefer a bracelet with bare forearms, but my watch is on that strap throughout the cooler seasons.

I'd always go for the bracelet. I got a great deal on my Speedmaster with an alligator strap and that is what i wanted at the time.

Fast forward a few years and I wanted to upgrade to the bracelet. Think i ended up paying over double for the bracelet than the strap.

I always buy on the bracelet just to have it. I do wear my speedy on straps most of the time but I do like to throw it on the bracelet once in a while. It feels like a new watch when I throw it on the bracelet which I enjoy.

Certainly much nicer than my blinged out scratch magnet oyster on my Daytona.

I don't care for the speedy bracelet, so I went with the alligator strap. It fits perfectly.

Bracelet of course.
Try to strike a deal with AD: Speedy on a bracelet AND gator strap+deployant.

Go grab the bracelet and then wear it on a strap. If you are used to wearing a modern Rolex with the extension built in for hot/cold temperatures then it’s very hard to get used to the omega bracelet with fiddly screw heads and an uneven extensions. I really think it’s high time they addressed that problem

Bracelet. Although you might have difficulty getting a good fit, but that can be easily sorted out with purchasing the extension clasp separately

Though I am not currently a Moonwatch owner, I did get to try both the bracelet and strap versions of this watch on at my AD recently. Surprisingly I really enjoyed the black alligator strap more than the bracelet. It just really seems to work well with this particular watch. I would probably lean that direction. Sets it apart from 80%+ of the Moonwatches you tend to see out there.

I went for the bracelet (even though I am not the biggest fan of it) and it also comes with a Nato. In terms of straps, I go for aftermarket as there is much more choice.

I do have a couple of Omega buckles (16mm and 18mm), the way I see it Omega probably outsources the leather strap manufacture anyway.
