First Incoming for 2024

I received my first incoming for 2024 today. I asked for this reference back in October and just got delivery today. It's my second PP and excited for it. I think it goes so well with so many different strap combos, it was a must for me to try. I have several straps on order through my AD and aftermarket routes. I didn't realize ordering a strap through the AD took 5-7 months.. If any of your have picture of straps for this reference, please do share.

On a side note, I expressed my intentions of going grey for a Nautilus as I'm getting impatient during our call. She asked me to not do that and stay just a bit patient and they will make it happen. I was encouraged by the conversation and will try to be a little more patient and cross my fingers. To be fair, they have offered me several pieces or allocation spots in the last 12 months that I have turned down as they were not references I was dying to have. I know they're trying and will put some faith in their efforts. We agreed to circle back after Watches and Wonders to see if there are any new references I might be interested in.

Major congrats, lovely watch! I have it on the blue suede strap, gives it a more casual vibe. If i may ask, have you bought many watches from your AD apart from these 2 Pateks? Do they know you well already?

Thanks. I ordered the blue strap from the 5172g which is a blue suede. I saw a picture of it on this piece and fell in love.

2 Rolexes so far from them. I was introduced to the owner in October of 2022 from a close friend of mine who has been their client for 30 years. Got a 5205g in March of 2023 as my first. Had allocation choice offers for 5230p, 5235r, or 5236p which I declined. They offered me a 6119r in October 2023 which I also turned down. I was afraid I might have burned that bridge declining their offers to be honest. After today, I guess I'm still in good standing.

The reference fascinates me as imo it is one out of the box so not Patek so not anything that comes to mind., the spacing of the fonts intrigues me. Enjoy I would love one on my wrist.

What are some recommended strap combinations for the reference mentioned in the discussion? If anyone has pictures of straps for this specific reference, it would be great to share them.

Congratulations on this versatile piece!
I’m particularly impressed by your discipline to not give in to buying any of their other offerings that weren’t exactly what you wanted. I know everyone insists that this is the way, but for me I start debating in my mind…which is wrong, I know. So, it’s helpful to me to read your experience.

Which Nautilus are you wanting from them, 5811, 5712a, or other?
I hope you get that soon.

Thank you! Believe me, I do a ton of debating when they offer something. I REALLY try to get myself to like the piece, but I don't want what I don't want at the end of the day. There is always a risk of being taken off the phone call list at some point and that is the biggest fear I guess.

I was seriously contemplating going grey for a 5726/1A this last week. I was going to consolidate a few pieces I don't find myself wearing anymore and try and get an unworn example. I do hate the idea though as I want my name on the papers. I know it's shouldn't matter, but I'm just weird like that. lol. The thought of paying over MSRP also kills me, but I was on my way to get my brain wrapped around the idea as I am getting weary of waiting and I'm not getting any younger any time soon. lol.

To my AD's credit, they are not into the bundling game. I asked what they want me to buy in order to shorten the wait and was told they don't want me to buy anything I don't love. Very classy organization for sure, but they are also on the smaller side and don't get as many pieces as some of the bigger AD's. I'm sure it's very difficult for them to keep everyone happy, especially when there are some long time heavy spend clients waiting for their allocations.

I requested for either a 5726/1A, 5811, 5712/1A in that order of preference. I'll keep my finger crossed and hope for the best.

I completely understand and agree with the significance of getting a PP allocation from the AD with your name on the papers. I sincerely hope your AD comes through for you soon.

If you do sell a PP why can’t you just scrub out your name and address before you release the certificate? If you don’t do this you might find a person with bad intent searching your home address and turning up to try and pick up a few more when you are out or asleep.

I can tell this piece is going to be an absolute strap monster. Just got this grey strap delivered today. Totally changes the look of the watch.

no warranty coverage if anything is deleted from the certificate . so basically you can but you would have to take a hit on it and sell it less
