Seeking your opinion on this DJ

Hello,
Please help to figure out if the watch is real or not, also what year it is. The model number is 955XXXX, it has a small crack on the bottom of glass just dont pay attention on it, also if its real is it 14K gold or 18K, thanks

He gave you a serial number not a model number. It looks like a 16013... Just can't tell. Acrylic crystal correct?

16013 model was produced from 1977-1988. Show us the clasp in a photo as rolex made 14k and 18k in this model. Dies the clasp have h14 or h18 engraved after the band number

The spacing and font looks off, but difficult to tell given the quality of the pictures.

Looks good enough with what we can see . Acrylic that's for sure given the type of damage .

I would say it looks to be real, but it's not a 1950's watch. Late seventies as mentioned.

I think these were 14K gold.

Now you have to post some of the "after" photos. We want to see how it turns out.

We see a lot of first time posters on here with their "friends" watches wanting advice, I thought this might be another one. My mistake, sorry.

Your watchmaker is absolutely clueless and I would stay far, far away from him.

The watch is from 1986 and not the 70's and the bracelet should be 18k.

Got the watch back today, thats how it looks now, watch and band appear to be real 14k gold, the clasp most likely was replaced thats why band number stands for stainless steel, still unsure what exact year it is but its all right, thanks for every post they all were really helpful, plus i got my security protecting the watch (see picture)

Did they make bracelets in a combination of white and yellow gold? This bracelet appears to be TT.

OP, was the gold content stated to you to be 14k?
